Yolene has been with PeaceCYCLE from the very beginning. She has done everything from the collection of the trash to being a manager. She is essentially the wise mother figure of our PeaceCYCLE family. She is experienced and intelligent, but also compassionate and understanding. Everyone goes to Yolene when they have stress or troubles.
Oooops, this page is still under construction. Please check back soon for intro to each staff member! Here's a small sample
Roberto Piecemaker Roberto is no stranger to hard work. He is willing to do any job presented to him, but within the PeaceCYCLE workshop, he has particularly mastered the exacto knife, cutting the final piece of plastic to create our "quilting square" of sorts for the sewing team to then sew together into a beautiful creation. Roberto's gentle spirit and humble personality lends him to be a PeaceMAKER as well as a PieceMAKER at the workshop. A friend to all, Roberto is a huge asset to the PeaceCYCLE family! |
Angelor Manager Angelor was a young and quiet neighbor when PeaceCYCLE got it's beginnings - he simply observed and then started getting to work - following the example that he saw. His quiet demeanor but hard work ethic makes him a very peaceful leader. Just when you think he isn't aware of some detail, you realize he has been observing all along and has already come up with a plan to solve the problem. Ketia Piecemaker Ketia came to our workshop by recommendation of Sister Patsy, of the Missionaries of Charity nearby. She had been living in the ravine behind the sister's compound, and was always helpful to them in their ministry, but really needed a job to support and raise her young son. We welcomed a young, thin, shy Ketia into our fold over 6 years ago, and cannot believe the transformation that a dignifying job, life purpose, and community of support has done to change her! Our now outspoken, mature, strong-willed, and healthy Ketia is a staple to our PeaceCYCLE family! |
